Anthony F. Irwin commented, "When I suggested that the Lakers' current roster is less robust than last season, I faced considerable opposition. However, the crux of the matter seems to be that many overestimate players they haven't consistently watched. The truth is that last year, the Lakers secured a playoff series win despite being without both Luke and Austin (Rivers). Let's ponder this: what would the Lakers' situation be if they were missing these two pivotal players now? In my opinion, when compared to last year, the Lakers' depth this season is not as favorable."
